The Law office of
Martin Baker
Our Promise to you
At the Law Office of Martin Baker, we promise you that we will do everything in our power to ensure that you are treated fairly and attain the best possible outcome in your case.
Mr. Baker
Mr. Baker has a law degree from Chapman University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Leeds Polytechnic, United Kingdom.
He has been practicing exclusively criminal law in Central California since 2004. During that time, Mr. Baker has represented people accused of unlawfully sleeping in bushes, people accused of killing multiple victims, and people accused of doing pretty much everything in between.
Thanks to Mr. Baker’s experience, skill, and hard work, many of his clients have been acquitted at trial, had their cases dismissed, or had their charges significantly reduced.
Mr. Baker is well-known in the legal community for his detailed knowledge of criminal law and he has had a number of scholarly articles published in prestigious legal journals. Courts of appeal and the state legislature have looked to the work of Mr. Baker for guidance in the drafting, interpretation, and application of criminal laws in the State of California. Most recently, the law that allows for additional punishment for gang-related offenses in California was amended partly as a result of an article by Mr. Baker that exposed the law’s undue harshness and overbroad application.
Mr. Baker lives in Modesto with his blind dog, Dingo. When he’s not fighting injustice, he enjoys etiology and shooting things.
